Office Moving Checklist

Office moving is a strenuous mission involving numerous preparations and management. However, we at Canadian Moving Group understand the stress related. Initial Steps

• Agree on a lease for your new office
• Inform the present landlord about moving
• Notify the staff about the date and location of move
• Arrange designers for the new location

30 Days Before the Move

• Book the elevators and moving docks in advance for your office moving services
• Create a list of furniture you wish to take with you with the moving company
• Create a colour-coded floor plan and code each equipment as well as furniture
• See if you need any new furniture or stationary, order them in advance
• Inform the post office in regards to the change of address
• Get certificate of occupancy and any other permits if required
• Inform your suppliers about moving
• Inform the following institutes about your new address

• Have high speed internet at the new location
• Arrange a cleaner after the move

15 Days Before the Move

• Delegate duties amongst the staff members for moving
• Have a moving oriented meeting with the employees
• Have a seating plan for the new place
• Start preparing the moving boxes and pack the furniture
• Assign a supervisor in every department
• Detox the place
• Schedule a staff for unpacking the boxes
• Label all the packs and boxes properly to avoid confusion
• Get the access cards made for the new premises
• Change address on all online communications

On the Moving Day

• Arrange a manager at the new location
• Make sure that the air conditioner or heating available during the move
• Do remove the equipments and other systems before arrival of the movers to make the process simpler
• Have a emergency contact list for all the vendors in case you need them
